Moulton Fun Run

NRR dominated the Moulton Fun Run on Sunday 11th May..

Carrick Baldwin was overall winner with Mark Kennedy second + winner of King Of The Hill.
For the ladies, Charlotte Yarker was First Lady and Suzanne Baldwin was second lady. Talk about NRR dominance...the glitz and glory of the fun run.
...
Stu Drummond paced his good lady wife around and Micky Bhogal also took part.
Great support from the locals including Elaine, Miles (organising) and others.

The East Midlands Grand Prix Series kicked off with the traditional Silverstone curtain raiser.  The two lap route around the circuit offers great PB potential.  This year's event was cool and windy offering a few challenges on the way.

Milton Keynes Marathon and Half

A good NRR crowd made their way to the Milton Keynes Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday for a May Day run.

Five decided on the full marathon, some hadn't had enough after their London experience.

Daniel Cook finished in a brilliant 3:01:56 and Matt Brand grabbed a PB in 3:11:18.  Rob Donovan recorded a very respectable 4:12:42 with Andy Cottrell (who also ran London) in 4:22:42.  NRR draw winner Suzanne Baldwin won her place in the club draw and followed up her London aventure with a 4:23:44 finish.

In the half marathon, Ilir Brecani enjoyed a good run in 1:34:03 and Mark Kennedy completed his third in three weeks with a 1:36:59 finish.  Pete Moor continued his Edinburgh build up finishing in 1:48:33.  Sarah Jones finished her second half with a PB of 1:48:36 alongside Caroline Powell in 1:48:59.

A race wouldn't be a race without Eamon Kennedy (1:52:02) with Darren Byfield 1:55:22 and
Jim Anderson 2:02:59 completing the line up.

The event was mainly along MK's Dual carriageways and although not the prettiest of routes, there was plenty of vocal support along the way.  Miles 12 took a short detour from the roads to the Redways for a lap around a picturesque lake before a finale round the Stadium MK to the finish line.

If you like medals, there is a great chunky one on offer at the end.
