19th May 2010 - Round three of the EMGP saw a nice little crowd of NRR runners tackle the fast, flat course in search of a PB. Tony Letts made his NRR race debut with a great time of 36:29. Starting from the back (he must have been late), Lynton Dawson flew through the crowds for a 37:47 finish. Rad Nic recorded an impressive 38:13 although he greeted his time with a shrug of the shoulders and a cheeky smile afterwards.
Mark Kennedy bagged a PB with 41:12 and Ronnie Ambrose found the perfect way to shake off any Windermere Marathon Stiffness with a 41:54 finish. Close behind was Luboslav Krivacka in 42:12, not bad for his second ever race.
Colin Bricher crossed the line in 51:39 and Mary Davies came home in 54:23, 4th in her age category. Dave Soloman recorded a 56:11 finish with a smile on his face as always. Rob Donovan pulled his hamstring with 2 miles to go forcing him to walk the rest of the course, he still finished but won't thank me for publishing his time. Get better soon Rob!
