EMGP Begins At Silverstone

The East Midlands Grand Prix Series kicked off with the traditional curtain raiser at Silverstone Circuit.  High winds and drizzle greeted the 1,100 strong field.
Northampton Road Runners fielded a strong team and club runner of the year Tony Letts finished 57th overall in 37:41.  Andy Blaize was next to finish in 38:37 just ahead of star lady for the day, Rosanna Andrews who was 1st F20 in 40:50

Peter Moore was next to cross the line in 42:17 but actually finished behing Mark Kennedy who's chip time was 42:11.  Steve Prior recorded exactly 43:00 and Charlotte Yarker was close by in 45:33 just ahead of Darren Baldwin in 45:58.  EMGP regular Tom Sullivan was pleased with a 46:24 and Jim Anderson picked up an injury part way round but still managed a 51:54 finish. 

Suzanne Baldwin was next to arrive in the pit lane in 52:57 ahead of Jo Cummings in 54:36 and Ann Dickson in 56:50.

F1 Fan Glen Cousner was an guest member of the club for the evening and finished in 61:21 with Kirsty Turner (62:30) and Richard Rose (64:08) completing the line up.
