The route winds along country lanes, footpaths and bridleways and locals are plentiful en-route to give you a cheer on. If you are not too tired, you can do some bird spotting on the way thanks to an active presence of the R.S.P.B. There is only one major hill at 11 miles to test those energy sapped legs.
Two NRR runners took on the half marathon challenge and massive congratulations again to Jocelyn Granger on another award, third lady home in the Ladies Supervet Category in a time of 1:54:21. Mark Kennedy also completed the course in 1:46:58 just missing out on theTed Ogden award by six places. The award is given to the 100th runner home in memory of who was one of the founders of the event.
Jules Kennedy completed the half marathon walk in around three and a half hours.
