Where Egg Chasing Was Invented...

A good line up of NRR runners made their way to the exact spot where the sport of Rugby was founded in, well, er... Rugby of course. Rain held off for the second offering of the East Midlands Grand Prix Series on 12th May.

Lynton Dawson flew home in 37:34 ahead of Rad Nic in 39:29. Mark Kennedy was next to finish in 42:56 with Martin Baker coming home in 44:39. Tom Sullivan recorded 47:39 and Rob Donovan 48:40.

Colin Bricher crossed the finish in 53:09 just ahead of Mary Davies in 53:25 (4th in age category). Where there is one Mary, there is always another, Mary Kingsnorth was close by in 53:36. Dave Solomon drove home in 55:23 and Jo Cummings finished with a smile in 56:12. Ann Dickson was 4th in her category with a respectable 57:05 and Jackie Horne finished in 57:20.

Next race is on Tuesday 18th May at Bedford (6 miles and flat).
