Glorious sunshine greeted runners who made the trip to Oxfordshire for the Otmoor Challenge. It certainly was a challenge! The route consists of 6 miles of country roads and just over 7 miles of off road sections comprising stiles, ploughed fields, footpaths, bridleways and one demanding hill near the end. Everyone was pleased for friendly marshals and locals with hosepipes!
Mark Garrett was first to finish for Northampton Road Runners in 1.39.33 and Ronnie Ambrose crossed the line in 1.56.52. Jocelyn Granger enjoyed the challenge for the second time after taking it on last year and she finished in 2.01.20. Jim Anderson 2.02.02, Wendy Parker 2.12.52 and Gemma Francis 2:18:37 completed the line up.
