MK Marathon

The long winter dry spell ended as the sun failed to shine on the inaugural MK marathon. It was supposed to be a road race but instead featured water crossings, diversions around large puddles / small lakes and more mud than this seasons cross country could provide.

Three runners braved the conditions and they might have been better prepared if they had spent the winter training in the swimming pool. Tony Letts led the pack home in a time 3:08:08, followed by Rob Donovan in 4:02:41 and Martin Andrews in 4:27:08.

For the ladies, Jasmine Banks cracked four and a half hours with a 4:29:28 finish and Inge Flowers came home in an impressive 4:49:48.

Well done everyone.

Tony Letts 3:08:22
Rob Donovan 4:02:41
Martin Andrews 4:27:08 1st marathon (probably last as well)
Jasmine Banks 4:29:28
Inge Flowers 4:49:48
